The Whistler DE-1778 radar detector is a high performance detector with plenty of extra's. This model, with it's sleek, black design and intense, blue text display will look great in any vehicle. The DE-1778 offers real voice alerts, and will detect the new POP mode radar. One unique feature of the 1778 is an "Auto Dim" feature. In Auto Dim mode, the display will automatically adjust the brightness based on the current lighting conditions of your car. The DE-1778 is also compatible with Whistler's new Intelli-Cord power cord.
The Whistler DE-1778 responds to all types of radar currently in use by police, and provides 360 degree detection of all types of laser guns laser. The Whistler DE-1778 is immune to the VG-2 detector, and provides alerts when VG-2 is in use. The alpha-numeric display allows for full support of SWS alerts, including detailed information messages.
