The Sony F-720 is a handheld cardioid microphone designed for general vocal and instrument capturing. The microphone's cardioid polar pattern provides attenuation at the off-axis sections of the microphone, making it suitable for use near stage monitors with minimal feedback. A contoured frequency response of 50Hz to 13kHz places emphasis on the frequency range of the human voice and eliminates noise caused be excessive low frequency rumble. A matte black finish provides a non-reflective coat.
